Backup and data recovery
TeamDrive automatically creates backups of your data – i.e. creates copies of your files for data backup purposes.
As soon as the content of a file is changed, TeamDrive immediately synchronizes this new work status with highly secure end-to-end encryption with the central TeamDrive server in the TeamDrive cloud.
In addition, TeamDrive creates storage fix points for entire folders, so-called snapshots, at defined intervals. You can set the intervals between these data backups individually.
With this type of automatic data backup, TeamDrive also protects your data from loss in the event of a ransomware attack.
If a ransomeware virus manages to gain access to the files stored locally on your computer and encrypt them, you will have to completely clean your infected computer and rebuild the operating system, etc. from scratch . However, you can then access the backup versions of your files in the TeamDrive cloud (Backup) and restore the data status on your computer based on these files. The aforementioned snapshots even allow you to restore previous states of entire file folders.
Depending on when the last data image was saved on the TeamDrive server, you may be missing some current data, but you will be able to function again in a short time.
A total data loss is not just very annoying and nerve-wracking, but in some cases can be a threat to the existence of companies.
Point in Time Recovery is the underlying technology for data backup and restoration of a data image.
