Protection against ransomware with point in time recovery snapshots
TeamDrive protects your data from access by ransomware.
At regular intervals, TeamDrive creates storage fixpoints for entire folders, so-called snapshots. These are restore points, i.e. system or data states that you can return to at any time.
You can individually specify how frequently these snapshots should be generated by TeamDrive – even every 30 minutes if you wish.
If a ransomeware virus manages to gain access to the files stored locally on your computer and encrypt them, you will have to completely clean your infected computer and set it up from scratch, including the operating system, etc. However, you can then access the backup versions of your files (snapshots) in the TeamDrive cloud like a backup and restore the data status on your computer based on the data status in the respective snapshot. It is even possible to restore previous states of entire file folders.
Depending on when the last data image (snapshot) was saved on the TeamDrive server, you may be missing some current data, but you will be able to function again in a short time.
A total data loss is not just very annoying and nerve-wracking, but in some cases can threaten the existence of companies.
Point in Time Recovery is the underlying technology for data backup and data image recovery.
