TeamDrive Server app

The TeamDrive server app for your Windows or Linux server works just like the TeamDrive desktop app or the TeamDrive mobile app, which users can install on their PCs or mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) to securely exchange data with each other.

It also includes all the options and functions needed to administer TeamDrive and manage data.

For example, network drives can be monitored and synchronized in the same way, and UNC paths are also supported.

Unlike TeamDrive’s desktop and mobile apps, however, the server app does not have a graphical user interface (no Open-GL UI). It is operated and configured via an HTML browser.

Another special feature of the server app is that it has a Restful API. This allows it to be integrated into other applications and processes and controlled by them.

Some of our customers also use the server app to consolidate servers—a measure to use server resources as efficiently as possible.

It is often used by companies to synchronize multiple file servers at different locations.

The server app also ensures that data is backed up to the cloud.

The server app is a TeamDrive app optimized for the server environment, where it is installed as a service and runs in the background.

It enables data synchronization on servers, even in the background when the Windows user is not logged in.

Here you will find the installation instructions for the TeamDrive Server application (agent).
