Password manager with synchronization across multiple devices with 256-bit encryption

Hamburg, September 18, 2019 – With the combination of the password management software KeePass and the Sync&Share service TeamDrive, login data between smartphones, tablets and computers can be conveniently and securely synchronized. Both systems work with secure 256-bit encryption: KeePass for the password database on the respective device and TeamDrive for synchronization with each other. All data is stored in highly encrypted form on servers in Germany only.

“The database is just as well secured on site as it is during transmission using end-to-end encryption,” explains TeamDrive Managing Director Detlef Schmuck. KeePass and TeamDrive work on Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS. KeePass is free of charge as open source software, and the use of TeamDrive for private purposes is also free of charge.

TeamDrive is considered to be particularly secure software for storing, synchronizing and sharing data and documents because it meets the high security requirements of Section 203 of the German Criminal Code (Strafgesetzbuch für Berufsgeheimnisträger). It is based on end-to-end encryption, which ensures that only the user can read the data – neither TeamDrive nor any authority in the world can decrypt the data. This technical and legally binding security is appreciated by over 500,000 users and more than 5,500 companies from all industries, from industry to health care, from business and tax consulting to public administration.
