For craft businesses: TeamDrive makes Word and Excel fit for digital accounting
– The tax office prescribes a digital bookkeeping according to GoBD for crafts enterprises.
– If you ignore it, you have to reckon with sensitive tax arrears.
– With TeamDrive, Word and Excel can be used as before, just GoBD-compliant.

Hamburg, 14 August 2019 – Crafts enterprises are obliged to comply with the “Principles for the proper keeping and storage of books, records and documents in electronic form and for data access”, GoBD for short, which have been in force since 2015. Who does not keep to it, must count with the next audit on sensitive additional payments, because the tax offices estimate the taxes simply – and in their favour.

GoBD means that all computer files must be stored in such a way that the tax auditor can later track all changes without gaps, for example any change to a calculation, an offer or an invoice. Most companies use the programs Microsoft Word and Excel from the USA – and these programs do not correspond to the German GoBD standard. The Hamburg-based company TeamDrive GmbH promises a remedy with its file management system of the same name. “Our system meets all the digital accounting requirements demanded by the tax office,” explains TeamDrive Managing Director Detlef Schmuck.

TeamDrive is a data management and archiving system that is simply installed on the computer in addition to Microsoft Word, Excel and all other programs. This ensures that all documents can be stored in an audit-proof manner, i.e. can be retrieved, tracked, unaltered and stored in a falsification-proof manner in the interests of the tax office. Thus neither the programs nor the operational sequences are changed, but everything takes place as before, “only” on the basis of a GoBD-compliant file management.

Particularly good: TeamDrive not only complies with the GoBD standard imposed by the tax office, but also with the latest data protection requirements in accordance with the GDPR (Data Protection Basic Regulation). Another plus point: TeamDrive not only stores the data on the company computer, but also automatically in a German high-security data centre as a data backup. So if the company computer should ever give up, nothing gets lost. In addition, regular backups are not necessary to be prepared for data loss. You kill three birds with one stone.

If you want to get a first impression of TeamDrive, you can download the software free of charge from www.teamdrive.de and try it out. As soon as the software is used for operational purposes, minimum fees of 4.95 euros net per month (with annual payment) are charged. A purchase price does not result, with the monthly fee all costs are covered. “TeamDrive is the cheapest way to comply with GoBD, GDPR and all other legal, data protection and security requirements,” says TeamDrive Managing Director Detlef Schmuck.
How secure the TeamDrive software is can be seen from the fact that it is used by numerous tax consultants and even recommended by the German Bar Association. This is due to the fact that TeamDrive encrypts all customer data completely so that not even secret services can access the information.
