Personal data – children, parents, members – for less than 150 Euro per year legally secure administration
Hamburg, 16 May 2019 – Day-care centres, parishes and associations of all kinds have been suffering from the consequences of the Basic Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO) for over a year now. As they all deal with personal data – children, parents, members – they are subject to the strict regulations of data protection. Violations of this rule can result in severe penalties and personal liability for operators, local councils and association boards. In most cases, however, financial resources are extremely limited and there is no IT department to deal with them.
The Hamburg-based TeamDrive GmbH wants to remedy this situation with the data management service “TeamDrive Professional Starter 5 Cloud“. Storage of all data according to DSGVO, simple handling without IT know-how, no own server necessary, distributed access to all data, for example by various board members and employees, as well as low costs of only 2.49 euros per month per user accessing the data. The minimum number of users is five, which results in an annual fee of 149.50 euros per year. This includes the use of the software, the storage capacities, the data order processing contract required under the DSGVO and technical assistance with questions. Non-profit associations pay only half the fee, volunteers do not have to pay anything at all.
With the TeamDrive service, member lists and other personal data can be managed in a legally compliant manner, emphasises the provider. Any number of data rooms can be set up, for example to exchange photos of events with participants or parents. TeamDrive also makes it easy to jointly organise projects and events in accordance with data protection regulations.
